Some of the most beautiful parts of the world are best seen close up; not out of a car window or from the carriage of a train, but by actually walking through them.
Aid International has organised a number of international treks over the years, with teams hiking along the Yangtze Gorges in China, through the deserts of Jordan and the Sinai, and even taking in three of Italy's famous volcanoes - Etna, Stromboli and Vesuvius.
Trips usually last 10-14 days, with up to eight hours of walking a day punctuated by rest stops. Then in the evenings you'll stay in a variety of hotels and lodges, all organised in advance by Aid International, relaxing and enjoying local food and entertainment.
This year we've lined up a couple of particularly exciting new destinations: a two week trip to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, and a 10 day hike on Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Forget sky-diving or sitting in a bath of baked beans, if you really want a challenge to bring in the sponsors, sign up for an Aid International Trek.
